Ms Gasealahwe is the Divisional Executive with oversight for Finance, Procurement as well as Information Systems and Technology.
Ms Gasealahwe is a qualified Chartered Accountant with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants. She completed a Bachelor of Accountancy in 2006 and subsequently graduated with a BCom Hons/ CTA degree from Wits University. Ms Gasealahwe completed her Training Outside Public Practice (TOPP) Articles at Eskom in various departments in 2012. In 2019 she completed a Masters in Development Finance. She has over 13 years’ working experience including Articles.
Upon completion of her Articles she was absorbed permanently at Eskom and was appointed to the role of Project Accounting Manager. She was then elevated to the position of Middle Manager: Project Accounting and Compliance. Ms Gasealahwe was subsequently promoted to the position of Senior Manager: Finance Business Partner and Group CFO: Eskom Subsidiaries, a dual role whose responsibility amongst others was to provide strategic financial inputs, ensuring adherence to accounting standards, develop performance measures that support the company’s strategic direction and management of working capital, capital expenditure, budgets and debt levels.
Ms Gasealahwe was later transferred to Eskom Distribution Division as the Divisional Finance Director (Senior Manager Finance Business partner) responsible amongst others for managing revenue of R200 billion, accountable and responsible for the application and implementation of electricity pricing, the management of debt levels across municipalities and ensuring that financial information is accurate, valid and complete.
