Indaba to empower Business owners, MANGAUNG ISSUE

The Free State Provincial Government hosted a three day SMME and Co-operative Indaba at the President Hotel in Bloemfontein from 1-3 September. The Indaba was aimed at empowering business people from all walks of life with information and available opportunities in the Free State Province. The Indaba, coordinated by the Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs comes as an implementation of President Jacob Zuma's promise of radical economic development in the country, during his State of the Nation Address. On Day One, the indaba addressed the informal sector who attended from across the province. On Day Two, the indaba aimed at medium size businesses and on the final day the focus was on established businesses. “The Free State business people are sleeping. There are only a few business people here who are doing business in a real sense, business people must wake up,” urged the Free State Premier Ace Magashule at the Indaba.
