THE NEF STRIVES TO CREATE JOBS THROUGH BUILDING INDUSTRIALIST

As a catalyst of broad-based Black Economic Empowerment in South Africa, the NEF strives to enable, develop, promote and implement innovative investment and transformation solutions in order to advance sustainable black economic participation. Much as the NEF will continue to fund small and medium enterprises, for which we have approved over R4,5billion to date, while supporting 31 000 jobs, what our country needs is for black entrepreneurs to dream big. The NEF therefore seeks to contribute to economic growth by funding projects that have the potential to boost the economy, and which support job creation significantly. In order to give effect to President Jacob Zuma's injunction for the industrialisation of South Africa, the NEF established the Strategic Projects Fund, SPF, with a mandate to increase the participation of black people in early-stage projects that are aligned to national government policy.
