Info.gov.za – South African Government Information

The Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) that the Department of Trade and Industry (the dtic) and the Congress of Traditional Leaders of South Africa (Contralesa) signed in Pretoria in November last year, will continue to bear fruits when three empowerment and enterprise development workshops will be held in Limpopo from 20 to 21 June 2012. All events are scheduled to start at 09h00. Members of the media are invited to attend.

The event is part of the rollout of the dtic’s activities to the rural and peri-urban communities. The workshops are as a result of the MOA in which the dtic and Contralesa agreed to form a partnership and work together in taking the dtic to the rural people to inform them about the department’s products and services, and to assist them to establish and grow business enterprises as part of the rural economic development programme.

The workshops will be rolled-out in the following areas:

Venue Date Time
Thohoyandou Sports Centre – Thohoyandou Wednesday, 20 June 09h00
Jokong Village, Modjadji Kgapane Thursday, 21 June 09h00
Nirvana Hall, Polokwane Friday, 22 June 09h00
