The call for consolidation of small business development affairs under one roof, with most observers favouring a focused government ministry, is gaining momentum.
The call gained popularity after the Black Business Council (BBC) took a resolution on the matter early this year and reiterated it during its recently held first annual convention and to the ears of President Jacob Zuma. In response Zuma said the matter will be considered.
The South African Institute of Professional Accountants (Saipa) has joined the chorus.
