It''s our turn to be great, – Sunday World

ACCORDING to the 2008 World Program of Action for Youth, young people represent agents, beneficiaries and victims of major societal changes and are generally confronted by a paradox: to seek to be integrated into an existing order or to serve as a force to transform that order.

This was never more more evident than on the cold winter Wednesday of June 16 1976, when pupils in Soweto and across the country rose up to confront the brutal apartheid system, standing up for their right to be free. This day will forever stand out as a game changer in the struggle for the emancipation of the people of this country.
